Enniskerry Deerpark in Ireland is a place many people know, but standing there is something entirely different. The scale of the trees, the rush of the waterfall, the way light filters through the giants overhead — it’s breathtaking in a way that feels expansive and grounding at the same time. You feel small, but not insignificant.

In this painting, I wasn’t trying to record the landscape exactly as it appeared. I wanted the energy of it — water in motion against rooted strength, and that quiet awe that settles in when you stop long enough to really look. Awarded Bronze by Camelback Gallery in 2022, this piece holds both personal memory and wider recognition, a landscape that continues to resonate long after you’ve left it.
