Surface & Structure
Surface & Structure brings together my mixed media and collage work — pieces layered with paper, fabric, paint, oil marker, and pastel across a range of surfaces. From cradled wood panels and gallery-wrapped canvas to heavy pressed paper and hand-stretched raw canvas, each substrate plays an active role in the final outcome.
Collage introduces physical depth. Mark-making and paint create movement. The surface is never incidental — it’s part of the conversation. Many of the foliage pieces include a small signature leaf, a quiet detail intentionally woven into the composition.
